Although our formal name is Polley Clinic of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery PA, if you have cysts or tumors that may need to be surgically removed, we suggest that you make an appointment with the surgeon of your choice. We will still service all your other skin care needs.
OUR APPOINTMENT SCHEDULING PHILOSOPHY
Polley Clinic is a rural medical provider, and demand for our services is high. Our schedule allows for different types of services in different appointment time slots. We do our best to see each patient at their scheduled appointment time.
A medical business must make money to support the infrastructure and people required to deliver care to their patients. This gets harder every year because insurance companies continually reduce our payments.
When a patient is a no-show, we cannot deliver care to another patient in need, and we lose revenue. Polley Clinic typically has a 12-15% daily no-show rate. As a result, Polley Clinic must then “overbook” the schedule.
Our mission at Polley Clinic is to stay economically viable and deliver the best care possible to the people of eastern North Carolina.
We ask that you consider this information when scheduling an appointment with our office or while waiting for your appointment.
If you choose to make a new patient appointment with us, please read the following message carefully because it contains very important information about your upcoming appointment that will save you time, money, and aggravation.
Before your appointment you are required to log the Polley Clinic patient portal and fill out all necessary forms in the MyHealth section. Instructions to log into the patient portal will be sent to you by email.
If you do not log in to the patient portal to fill out the necessary forms, you are required to arrive at least 45 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment to fill out the forms in the office.
If you DO NOT fill out the forms online, or if you do not arrive at least 45 minutes prior to your scheduled appointment, Polley Clinic WILL NOT BE ABLE TO SEE YOU, and you will have to reschedule your appointment once you have met these requirements.
PLEASE BRING THE FOLLOWING TO YOUR APPOINTMENT:
- Photo ID.
- All insurance cards.
- A legible list of all your medications.
- Money for deductibles and copayments.
- Copy of Power Of Attorney if necessary.
- The referral form from your primary care provider if necessary.
